Where would we be without fantasy?

Fantasy In the Workplace

What? How can that be? Many may think I have lost it on this one, but bear with me just a minute. How many times have you caught yourself wishing desperately that it were time for your break. Or maybe you find yourself staring out the nearest window and imagining you were hang gliding instead of analyzing that spreadsheet?

I myself generally had this feeling virtually everyday. It is the best stress reliever I have ever found. Only a couple of seconds of fantasy, and I am good as new. Imagine the possibilities! If you are able to guide these thoughts into some sort of topic for writing, you too could become a writer. Possibly you could jot them down on your lunch hour, or even once you arrive at home. Given a few months, you just may have the beginnings of a short story. If you are an obsessive daydreamer, maybe even the start of a novel.

Let yourselves dream! Enjoy the rest of your work day knowing that when you get the chance you just may make them come true!

I like your thoughts, imagination is the start of so much of our world, we had Vern Jules long before submarines were practical. Keep up the thought!

Hello, I agree with your idea of fantasy simply because it encourages thought. I think our minds can learn simply through free thought without any writting or reading. I certainly think writing/reading encourages free thought, but I do not think it is neccessary to learn new things.

The progression is Certainty > Probability > Possibility > Fantasy. I believe fantasy is a necessity to fuel creativity and passion. I love to daydream and make them come true. Thanks for the article.

Thanks awsydney, I find too that the cause is generally some creative thought that needs my attention. The hard part at times is to find the resources to make them come true!

I have to admit, I'm deeply inspired by Fantasy and don't know what I'd do without it.

My band, my poems, my stories are deeply emersed in fantasy, and it has inspired bands such as Manowar and Judas Priest, not to mention it's motivated me to no end. ^^

Great Hub! ^^
